We're dealing with them but it takes time. For now, just sit back, relax and watch this. We have studied your tastes & preferences and have created your own personalized pleasure program. Fortitude
The agenda has been around for a long time. I'm thinking centuries. Humanity has always been - how you say - 'duplicitous', around the acquisition of power, territory & money and if religion greases the wheel? So be it. Pure, charismatic, courageous, gracious and innocent on the surface, insincere, malicious & deceitful behind the veneer, only it’s everywhere now. Like gasoline & fire? We mingle. In line at the grocery store; next booth in a restaurant or filling your cyber cycle with terrific tantrums in social. Where once it was difficult to tell if a person was Conservative or Liberal; today it's tattooed on our foreheads. Our calling.
Thankfully, we have a supreme being.

Providence
Bi polar? Definitely. Destined to disdain? - indefinitely. That said, half of us reflect and restrain. I'm thankful for that. If it weren't for the centrists? We would have perished long ago. Populism is working in America. Not so much here in Canada.
Our history is dangerous and I have become radicalized. Not my preference.
Slowing down to look at the wreckage thinking, maybe if we’re lucky we’ll get to see some blood. Intrinsic instincts running amuck. Our neighbours are disturbed and many here like that disturbance. It's like living next door to regular violence. Always late, after dark - starting in the shadows and ending on the street. Hurts so good.
Cops show up AGAIN. Dean is all pissed up - smacking Nell around. It's a 3 to 4 times a month thing usually in the summer, always at 3 to 4 am. I feel sorry for her but she will never leave him. She would rather be rushed to the hospital and get stitches than be alone. He is always hauled away for a day or two before returning and doing it all over again. Humans are frightened & fragile and some take advantage of that.

Redemption & The Reckoning
The reprieve is momentary in a requisite respite.
That brief decade or two of maturity, awakening, followed by another shaky shit-show. You know the one, impotence, intolerance, racism, fascism, genocide and damage all rolled up, in a single soundbite that sings. Clickbait rules. When a political ideology is supported by Christianity, doors open (for those believers) and close for non subscribers. Perfect. The Gospel of Entitlement becomes unilateral and succinctly relevant to those who matter. Rewards OR punishment? You decide. Rest assured, the wrath and the rapture are components of a new world order, overseen by those who have our best interests at heart and our futures at hand.
I’m seriously wondering how long it can last. Tick tock. Will there be a breaking point? That point in time when people finally wake up and GET that their idea of ‘freedom’ was just a hoax? My guess is yes.
I don’t think this repression has legs. Let’s check back in 5 years if I’m still around.
